Grey’s Fans Are Obsessing Over Patrick Dempsey’s Comment for Kate Walsh
On Friday, Kate Walsh, who played Dr. Addison Montgomery on ABC’s hit drama Grey’s Anatomy, posted a gorgeous image from a photoshoot wearing a clean white dress with a blue blazer and captioned the throwback snapshot, “Dreaming about Spring 🌸🌷🌻☀️#FBF.”
The stunning photo had more than 87,000 likes and over 890 comments, including one super sweet, but short message from her Grey’s Anatomy costar, Patrick Dempsey, who played her love interest Dr. Derek Shepard on the show. As pointed out by the Instagram account @commentsbycelebs, one word with nine letters was all it took for fans to lose it: “Beautiful,” Patrick simply commented.
That adorable comment alone amassed over 1,800 likes, and 130 replies from fans including one follower (@rosie_brasil) who said, “@patrickdempsey not good for the faint hearted Grey’s fans ❤️.”
While Patrick’s character, unfortunately, passed away in a tragic car accident back in 2015, the actor and husband to celebrity makeup artist Jillian Dempsey (Jennifer Lawerence, Leslie Mann, and Kristen Stewart are all clients) and a passionate racecar driver, has since had roles on the big screen, including Bridget Jones’ Baby. He also portrays Dominic Morgan on the TV series Devils and is rumored to be joining Amy Adams in a potential sequel to Walt Disney’s Ella Enchanted.
Kate’s character traded in dreary Seattle, and an overwhelming drama from a love triangle, for sunny Los Angeles to star on Private Practice—a Grey’s spin-off that was created by show runner Shonda Rhimes and ran from 2007 to 2013 on ABC.
Most recently, Kate played Olivia Baker on Netflix’s breakout series 13 Reasons Why, a project that is executive produced by Selena Gomez, and is a part of the new series The Umbrella Academy, coming soon to the streaming service. Kate also co-founded a beauty company that specializes in cruelty-free, BPA-free, and vegan fragrances, candles, and a newly launched lotion.
