Goo Hara’s brother leaves late K-pop idol touching message on birth of daughter

Goo Hara's brother has left her a touching message on Instagram following the birth of his daughter.

Hara was found dead at her home on November 24, aged 28, after an apparent suicide.

Her brother has once again spoken in glowing terms about his late sister, claiming his baby daughter is the 'reborn' that he had prayed for.

The singer with K-pop idols Kara was always "wanting a niece or nephew," and her brother has said that he will be naming his daughter Harin, as Hara had "suggested was a pretty name."

With the family still grieving Hara's passing, her brother wrote on Instagram: "Our Hara, who constantly talked about wanting a niece or nephew and even bought me vitamins. My younger sister, who said she would do anything for my first child and even take care of their college tuition.

"At your funeral, I asked you to be reborn as my daughter in your next life. As much as we didn't receive love from our parents, I hoped to love you and look after you, and after a week, my wish has been granted and I have a daughter.

"I named her Harin as you suggested was a pretty name. Your niece was born well.

"Look after her, so she grows up well. If you had known of the news just a week earlier, would something like that have happened? I'm sorry, and I miss you so much."

At the private wake for Hara, her brother revealed how he begged her to stay strong after the sudden death of her close friend Sulli.

At the service, Hara's brother shared text messages that he had sent in an attempt to cheer her up.

According to the Koreaboo portal, the English translations of the text messages read: "I'm begging you. Please don't have any negative thoughts, don't get sick, take care of your health."

He said in another message: "In the future, I hope you get married, have children and live for a very long time."

And he told her: "When you're sad, cry it all out."

Hara replied that she loved her brother and told him not to worry about her.

He said to her "you must be so sad, eat lots of yummy food in Japan", adding: "I will bring you some delicious food tomorrow."
