Gogglebox’s Ellie Warner gives birth and introduces newborn on Channel 4 show
Googlebox star Ellie Warner has given birth to a baby boy – introducing the newborn on the Channel 4 show.
The beloved reality star, 32, revealed the happy news in Friday's episode, as she held her son in the opening moments of the show. The baby boy is her and her partner Nat Eddlestone's first child.
Ellie then handed the newborn to his auntie Izzi for a cuddle.
A few minutes after the scenes had aired, Ellie also shared a snap of her adorable son on social media, as she revealed his name for the very first time.
Alongside the image, Ellie wrote "Sweet baby Ezra. He has made our lives complete. We love you so much son."
Fans shared their joy at the little one's on-screen introduction, with one tweeting: "Oh my God @ellieandizzi, Ellie has had her baby a little boy he’s so adorable!"
"Ah congratulations Ellie. He is gorgeous!" added another.
A third wrote: "Aww Ellie has had her baby! How lovely. Many congratulations."
Ellie first confirmed news of her pregnancy on an episode of back in December, going on to share a sweet photo to her Instagram page, where she cradled her bump and joked: "Belly full of Christmas dinner."
The reality TV star, who shares the sofa on screen with her sister Izzi, experienced some health issues during her pregnancy, revealing on Gogglebox in late March that she'd been diagnosed with gestational diabetes.
According to the NHS, the condition "is high blood sugar (glucose) that develops during pregnancy and usually disappears after giving birth".
However everything appears to have gone smoothly for the happy couple despite the diagnosis, with Ellie having first sparked birth rumours back in April after vanishing from social media.
The star's last photo with a bump was shared on Instagram on April 10th, before Ellie, a previously frequent poster, vanished for four weeks, prompting speculation from fans she had given birth.
She then returned on May 9th, to share an insight into her pregnancy, as she revealed the pram she and Nat had chosen for their baby boy.
The couple opted for the classic £3,000 Silver Cross Balmoral Coach Pram, beloved by the Essex set and Royalty alike.
The popular prams are handcrafted in Yorkshire, with gliding suspension, gleaming chrome wheels, and a pure cotton mattress. For their baby boy, Ellie and Nat chose a vibrant blue shade.
Ellie first shot to fame after joining the cast of Gogglebox in 2015 alongside her sister. While the show does pay its cast members, it's not a full time wage and many have day jobs outside their roles as the nation's favourite couch potatoes.
Unsurprisingly, given her penchant for elaborate dye jobs, Ellie works as a hairdresser and runs an Instagram account dedicated to her styling work.
The couple's baby joy comes just one year on from a devastating accident which left Nat fighting for his life, after he was struck by a car while on a night out in Leeds in March 2022.
As a result of the accident, Nat suffered a brain injury, broken neck, two collapsed lungs and a broken back.
Thankfully however, he was able to make a speedy recovery, with Ellie at his side every step of the way.
Gogglebox airs on Channel 4 at 9pm on Fridays.
