Frank Ocean Teases Cover Of SZA’s ‘The Weekend’

Frank Ocean has teased a new cover of SZA‘s popular single “The Weekend” on Twitter.

The original version of the track appeared on SZA’s debut album CTRL, which was released in 2017.

Earlier this week, the SZA-Kendrick Lamar collaboration for their hit Black Panther song, “All The Stars,” received an Oscar nomination in the Best Original Song category.

Ocean caught media attention during the 2018 U.S. midterm elections when he gave a call to voters to turn out.

“I was excited about the idea of incentivising people to vote and to get excited about midterms because people aren’t usually excited about voting at midterms,” he told the co-hosts of the Beats 1 show “Blonded Radio.”
