Former MTV VJ Matt Pinfield has reportedly suffered major injuries after being hit by a car.
A rep for the 57-year-old told TMZ that he was crossing the street in Los Angeles Monday night when he was hit by a speeding car. More details on the accident were not immediately available, but the incident is not said to have been a hit-and-run situation.
According to the site, he was taken to a local hospital and was treated for a leg broken in two places and received stitches for a laceration to his head. Pinfield is currently in stable condition after undergoing surgery and is said to be in good spirits.
He was a fixture on MTV in the mid-‘90s, notably hosting the alternative rock show “120 Minutes.” Before that, he was a DJ at New Jersey radio station WHTG-FM 106.3.
