Dani Dyer denies she’s with Jack Fincham for money and reveals 5 year baby plan
Dani Dyer has defended her relationship with Jack Fincham and denied rumours they’re staying together for the money.
It comes after the demise of several Love Island pairs in recent weeks, leaving some critics speculating each couple was contractually obliged to stay together for six months after the series end.
But Dani has insisted she and former pen-salesman Jack are together for all the right reasons.
Speaking to Cosmopolitan, Dani said: "I’ve had messages calling me fake, or saying i only got to where I am because of my dad, or articles saying [Jack and I] are going to split up. It hurts because it’s not true."
She continued: "I’m 22 and this isn’t a normal situation that I’m dealing with. I don’t know what they think we’ve got together but we’re not David and Victoria [Beckham]! We’re not a brand. I’m my own woman, my own person."
But Dani admitted that despite her independence, she’s been greatly influenced by parents Danny Dyer and Jo Mas, who have been together since they were both 14 years old.
Dani said: “Mum and Dad taught me never to give up when it comes to your relationship. No relationship is easy and they’ve been through it all. I remember when I was growing up and started realising what the press is.
"You always know when your parents are arguing, but when things about them splitting up would be in the papers, that was sh*t because I was young. My mum would never let me read things and she’d never talk about it.”
After her appearance on Love Island, Dani was thrown into a media spotlight and admitted she often feels compelled to share details of her life on social media with the fans who voted her and Jack winners back in August.
But the over-sharing took an awkward turn last December, when Dani announced she’d broken up with Jack on Instagram , only for the pair to reconcile days later, blaming it on a ‘silly row.’
Dani said: "Because our relationship started public, you feel like you have to carry that on, but it doesn’t have to be like that. You give people parts of you, but you haven’t got to give them all of it."
Since getting over their brief split, the couple have become closer than ever – with Dani even standing by Jack through his cocaine shame in February.
Dani revealed she’s even been thinking of her long-term future with Jack, with marriage and a family on the cards at some point.
"In five years’ time, I want to be married or at least engaged, but I want a solid career before I have a baby. If in a few years I was happy and wanted one, then why not? Jack’s 27 this year so he’ll be saying, ‘Come on!’" she said.
But until then Dani, who is about to climb Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief , said she’s enjoying the perks of her new celebrity status.
In her interview with Cosmo, she revealed how Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown has asked to meet up with her.
"She’s only 14, where would I take her? I nearly invited her to a family party because I just wanted to meet her! In the celebrity world, they start giving you this nod because they know who you are – like you’re allowed in the gang. But I’ve got my gang. There’s nothing like the girls you’ve been mates with for years who know the real you. The only difference now is that I have to have my wits about me and always think before I do anything."
