Britain’s Got Talent winner in talks for US show: ‘It’s an exciting time’

The magician won the 10th series of Simon Cowell’s ever-popular talent show in 2016.

Now sources have revealed that the 28-year-old could be about to hit the big time in the States.

A source close to Richard told Daily Star Online: “There’s no doubt that Richard is still a massively popular entertainer since he won Britain’s Got Talent back in 2016 and he attracts huge audiences in the UK and internationally.

“After some recent introductions in the USA, his manager had a secret meeting with a channel over there about the possibility of his own show.”

Cheryl famously tried and failed to make it in America after being initially booked as a judge on series one of The X Factor USA.

Awkwardly, after filming just a couple of episodes she was booted off the show by Cowell.

However, it seems Richard may have more luck than Liam Payne’s baby mamma.

The insider added: “They love Richard’s royal connections – that he’s performed for the princes, and is in the Queen’s Guard – and the fact that he’s in the army… he fits their remit in every way.

“Richard has a huge UK tour coming up at the end of this week and is weighing up his options.

“There’s a potential contract being discussed and it’s an exciting time for him.”

Richard’s UK trek kicks off on the Isle of Wight on April 5 before shows up and down the country.

Meanwhile, Britain’s Got Talent kicks off this weekend.

The show will be the first time Ant McPartlin has been seen on camera since his infamous drink-drive charge.

After checking into rehab for the second time last year, Declan Donnelly was left to present Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway solo, while Holly Willoughby joined him down under to co-host I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
