Blink-182’s Travis Barker Tops Billboard’s Rock Songwriters Chart
Blink-182‘s Travis Barker rose to No. 1 on Billboard‘s Rock Songwriters Chart for the first time, with 15 songwriting entries making it to the Hot Rock Songs survey in the tracking week.
Barker’s “I Think I’m Okay,” with Machine Gun Kelly and Yungblud, hit No. 3 on Hot Rock Songs, followed by 14 Blink-182 songs.
The group’s new album, Nine, debuted at No. 1 on the Top Rock Albums chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200, logging 94,000 equivalent album units in the tracking week.
Blink-182 bandmates Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba tie at No. 2 on the Rock Songwriters chart, thanks to their 14 songwriting credits apiece.
Sam Hollander, who previously stayed at No. 1 on Rock Songwriters for nine weeks, and John Feldmann, who co-wrote 12 songs on Nine and co-produced the album, ranked No. 4 and No. 5, respectively on the list.
The weekly Rock Songwriters chart is based on total points accrued by a songwriter for each attributed song that appears on the Hot Rock Songs chart. Multiple writers split points for each song equally.
