‘Bachelorette’ alum Mike Johnson asks Keke Palmer on date after Demi Lovato fling
On to the next one.
Mike Johnson and Demi Lovato are apparently no longer dating, because the “Bachelorette” castoff just asked Keke Palmer out on a date on national television.
During an appearance on “Strahan, Sara and Keke” on Monday, Johnson, 31, told Palmer, 26, “I made a mistake. I don’t like dating in public, but if I were to ask you if we can go on a date in public …”
Before the reality star could finish asking Palmer out, the crowd cheered and she said, “What’s the next question? Michael, you got the next question.”
Johnson continued, “How would that make you feel? I heard she’s super adventurous.”
Co-host Michael Strahan then warned, “You mess up, I’m coming for you. You don’t want that.” He then added, “But, I will say, ya’ll look real good there sitting together. I ain’t going to lie to you.”
“I’m at work, guys!” Palmer responded, deflecting the question.
Haines, 42, then chimed in, saying, “So is he!” and Strahan, 47, said, “OK, after commercial break, you’ll get another [chance].”
After the show, Palmer shared a clip of the segment on her Instagram with the caption, “Even at the workplace #imtakenbymyjob ???❤️ #strahansarakeke.” It is unclear whether she said “yes” or “no” to a date.
Johnson and the “Hustlers” star do not follow each other yet on Instagram, but he still follows Lovato — his former flame.
Lovato, 27, and Johnson went on a few dates and the “Bachelorette” alum even spilled that the pop star “kisses really well.”
However, an insider told Us Weekly earlier this month that the couple were just “casually dating” and their relationship “isn’t anything serious.”
After Johnson publicly asked Palmer out on a date, Lovato shared a screenshot of Ariana Grande’s song “Imagine” on her Instagram Stories with broken heart emoji.
