Actress Maisie Williams who plays Arya is now 22-years-old after she celebrated her birthday on the same day season eight premiered.
She was born on April 15, 1997 and started working on the series when she was 13.
Season one of Game of Thrones debuted in April, 2011 – not long after her 14th birthday.
Williams tweeted to her 2.2 million followers, she said: “u kno the final season is coming back to the uk on my 22nd birthday. aries power [sic].”
Many Game of Thrones fans wanted to know both Arya and Williams’ age after she slept with Gendry (Joe Dempsie), marking the character’s first sex scene.

Speaking about shooting the Arya sex scene, which has left some fans shocked, Williams told Entertainment Weekly she thought it was a script prank by the showrunners, who have been known to pull them on cast members in the past.
However, after she realised it was part of the script, she explained: “David and Dan were like: ‘You can show as much or as little as you want.’
“So I kept myself pretty private. I don’t think it’s important for Arya to flash. This beat isn’t really about that. And everybody else has already done it on the show, so…”
The actress continued: “In the beginning, everyone was really respectful.

“No one wants to make you feel uncomfortable which kind of makes you feel more uncomfortable, because no one wants to look at anything that they shouldn’t look at, which in turn makes you feel like you look awful because everyone is kind of like—.”
She went on to say: “You want people to act more normal.”
Co-star Dempsie, 31, also shared his feelings about the scene, given the almost 10-year age gap between himself and Williams.
He explained: “It’s obviously slightly strange for me because I’ve known Maisie since she was 11, 12 years old.
“At the same time, I don’t want to be patronizing toward Maisie — she’s a 20-year-old woman. So we just had a lot of fun with it.”
