Amy Schumer jokes about cancellations amid coronavirus outbreak

First baseball, now this?

Amy Schumer joked about her dieting and exercise plans being scrapped after several events across the country were shut down due to the coronavirus outbreak.

“Hey guys, so I just found out that me going to the gym today was canceled,” she said in a video posted to her Instagram on Friday. “You guys know I love going to the gym but I can’t make it. It’s canceled.”

The 38-year-old “I Feel Pretty” star is also practicing social distancing.

“I was supposed to see my mom, and mom, I’m so sorry, that’s gotta be canceled,” she said.

And her plans to eat better? Out the window.

“And uh, yeah, worst of all I was supposed to kind of eat better today and that’s been canceled,” she joked.

But the comedian took a serious moment, urging fans to stay healthy.

“so you know, everybody just be safe, wash your hands, and it’s all canceled,” she said.

Over the past week, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused several cancellations and postponements including the St. Patricks Day parade, March Madness, the NBA season, the MLB season, the PGA tour, the Tribeca Film Festival, and all gatherings with more than 500 people in New York.
