A First Glimpse of Selena Gomez’s Return to Public Life Finds Her Surrounded by Friends

Selena Gomez looks like she may have just returned to public life. It has been more than two months since Selena reportedly began treatment for an “emotional breakdown.” That alleged breakdown came after the “Wolves” singer received some discouraging test results routinely performed post-operatively on kidney transplant recipients.

It also came after Selena was on the receiving-end of a barrage of press coverage about her ex Justin Bieber’s sudden engagement and marriage to his current wife Hailey Bieber. Justin’s seeming lightning-fast courtship of Hailey began just weeks after his most recent breakup with Selena earlier this year.

However, in some of the first pictures available of the former Disney star since her reported hospitalization, Selena now appears all-smiles while enjoying a little time snow-tubing getaway with close friends in Big Bear, California. Former Wizards of Waverly Place costar Bailee Madison and BFF Connar Franklin posted a series of photos to Instagram of Selena looking happy and healthy out on the slopes.

Interestingly, in what might have been a small shout-out to another BFF, Selena can be seen wearing some Taylor Swift Reputation Tour gear in the pics.

Selena did recently appear both in video and print with a number of her friends promoting a special holiday apparel campaign for Puma. However, it is thought that much of the work for that campaign was probably completed prior to Selena’s seeking of medical treatment.

Given their idol’s emotional turmoil of the last year, Selena’s fans will certainly be glad to see her appearing playful and refreshed. Of course, it also is nice to see her continuing to be supported by a circle of longtime friends in the great outdoors not too far from her home.
