2 Chainz, DJ Mustard & TeeFLii Facing Lawsuit Over ’24 Hours’
2 Chainz, TeeFLii and DJ Mustard are facing a lawsuit that accuses the trio of ripping off a 1993 song.
According to TMZ, 3 songwriters to Robin‘s “Back It Up” have filed suit alleging that TeeFLii’s debut hit song “24 Hours”, featuring 2 Chainz, is practically the exact same song with very few differences.
In documents obtained by TMZ, the songwriters claim “Back It Up” is an uptempo song while “24 Hours” is the same music with slight modifications and a slowed down beat.
“Back It Up” is a track from Robin S.’s 1993 album Show Me Love, while “24 Hours” was from TeeFLii’s album Starr.
The songwriters are seeking damages totaling more than $10 million.
