First picture of 'killer boyfriend who strangled his lover and her daughter before killing himself just days before they were flying home to Colombia'

The man, who has been named locally as Russell Steele, was found dead alongside Giselle Marimon Herrera, 37, and her 15-yea-old daughter Allison on Thursday.

He had been in a relationship with Giselle for around nine months – and no concerns had been raised prior to the horrific incident.

Steel was originally from, Kilmarnock  in Scotland and rented a flat in the same block as Giselle and Allison.

Ms Herrera's grieving parents were last night seeking an emergency visa to jet to, Newry, Northern Ireland.

“We were expecting her home in the coming days. We are a close family and we missed each other too much."

Loved ones told how they wanted to be with the murdered daughter and granddaughter they hadn't seen in seven years.

The tragic mum and child had lay dead in their flat home for three days before worried cops broke down the door.

Detective Superintendent Jason Murphy said post mortems would pinpoint the causes of death.

“There is no evidence that anyone else was involved," he said, adding the deaths were an"unspeakable tragedy".

Yadelina Marimon, Giselle's sister, told a Colombian radio station: "We hadn't heard anything from her since Sunday — she didn't contact us.

"We started to ask her friends if they had talked to her and they said 'no'."

Yadelina said her family knew of the relationship and that there had never been any suggestion he had mistreated her sister.

She said: "She never said they argued or fought outside what was normal or that he had hit her or anything like that. She told us he was a nice guy."

Ms Marimon-Herrera moved from Colombia to Northern Ireland four years ago.

She worked in the Newry area.

Her daughter Allison, who was born in Spain and has lived in Northern Ireland since 2017, attended Newry High School.
