Tyrion Might Have Just Ruined Cersei’s Chances at the Iron Throne, According to This Fan Theory

It’s a Monday in the spring of 2019, which means it’s officially time to go over every Game of Thrones fan theory that’s floating around the interwebz. First up! One fan on Reddit believes that Tyrion royally screwed up Cersei’s chance at the Iron Throne last night.

Spoilers ahead! Do not keep reading if you haven’t watched episode 4 of season 8 of Game of Thrones. Seriously. Quit reading.

Okay, so if you remember the final scene from last night’s episode, Tyrion goes to King’s Landing to appeal to his sister. When he’s making his little speech in front of her, he pleads with her to consider surrendering to Dany for the sake of her unborn child.

Here’s the problem with that. As far as we know, Cersei is pregnant with Jaime’s baby. But in last night’s episode, she told Euron she was pregnant with his baby. However! Cersei didn’t sleep with Euron until *after* Jaime left King’s Landing. That means that theoretically, if Euron were actually the dad, no one in the North would know about the baby. Here’s how Redditor grantvoyager explained it:

“When Tyrion approaches the gates of King’s Landing to appeal to Cersei’s love for her children, he tells her to surrender for her child. Euron was standing right behind Cersei, and he just found out about ‘his’ child moments before this scene. From Euron’s point of view, Tyrion should have no knowledge that Cersei is pregnant —Tyrion was up in the North when he slept with Cersei for the first time.”

INTERESTINGGG. Now, this theory is banking on Euron being smart enough to figure this all out, but let’s say he finds out that Cersei’s baby isn’t his. He’d basically have no reason to be loyal anymore. THE TEA. IT’S PIPIN’.
