Vanessa Hudgens Talks About ‘Rent Live’ and the Parents of Obsessed Fans on ‘The Late, Late Show’

Vanessa Hudgens made an appearance on The Late, Late Show with James Corden last night. During her interview segment, Vanessa shared the couch with another one-time theater-kid, actor Andrew Rannells. Both spoke about some of their earlier career experiences auditioning for the original run of the musical Rent.

Vanessa spoke about the her upcoming role in Fox’s new production of Rent Live airing on January 27th. Vanessa also shared how she has a hard time separating her role as an actress in the production from being a fan of the landmark musical.

Finally, James asked Vanessa what its like still dealing with the obsessed fans that began following her career when she played in her first breakout role as Gabriella in High School Musical. Vanessa told James that those fans are sometimes not nearly as hard to deal with as their parents, and went on to tell a story of how she was once cursed out by an obsessed fan’s mother.
