Spencer Pratt Claims Mischa Barton Hid A Drinking Habit While Filming ‘The Hills’ — What?!
The Hills is giving us ALL the nostalgia we could’ve ever possibly wanted this time around, and with it, so too come the rumors are already starting to fly around!
This time, it’s Spencer Pratt who opened up about the inclusion of Mischa Barton during a recent interview with Cosmopolitan about the re-boot, his reality TV career, and more.
Speaking about the process of filming the show, and noting how much the cast has matured since their earlier wild-child days as teenagers and young adults, Pratt noted that he hoped things wouldn’t get too boring! He told the mag (below):
“I’m really hoping brings more of that TMZ energy to this show. It can’t be all eating fruit and hummus on the beach.”
Ha! That part is at least so true — hopefully there’ll be plenty of drama to go around!
But when mentioning how he loved Barton’s character on The O.C. in part because she drove her car off a cliff in one episode, Pratt offered up a dirty little allegation about Mischa’s behind-the-scenes habits while filming this time around.
Heidi Montag‘s husband described the very first time he filmed with Barton (below):
“Let me tell you—whoa, spoiler alert—the first time I shot a scene with Mischa, we were having dinner and she wouldn’t drink any white wine. They kept asking and she’s all ‘No, no, I don’t drink.’ Second those camera were down, home girl downs three glasses like it’s a competition. I’m like, ‘Okay, we’ve got a star potential.’ There’s something cooking there.”
Um… that’s big news, if the allegation is actually even true!!!
Barton has supposedly been sober for some time now, after dealing with a mess of a personal life and some very difficult consequences to her actions the past few years as a high-profile young actor.
There is some concern that she could potentially relapse at some point, apparently; supposed close friends of Barton have recently spoke to Radar Online and allegedly voiced their concerns that the high-stress environment of filming reality TV episodes could once again drive her to the brink, potentially. But so far, there wasn’t any indication she was already there, or anywhere close — so Pratt’s accusation here certainly comes as a bit of a surprise.
