Sister uses Facebook to help find her Army reservist and Lib Dem campaigner brother a girlfriend- saying he is ‘obsessed’ with Cornwall, likes pasties and drinks ‘an obscene amount of tea’

A sister has used Facebook in a bid to try and find her single brother a girlfriend.

Helen Stubbs, from Cornwall, made a post listing the positive qualities of her brother, Tom Stubbs, a 34-year old Army reservist. 

Ms Stubbs said Tom is loyal, clever and ‘insanely positive’ and enjoys doing new things.

She described him as ‘obsessed’ with Cornwall, pasties, and the local Perranporth beach.

Mr Stubbs is also a Liberal Democrat campaigner and once managed a campaign which got a new MP elected in the 2017 general election.

He has two politics based degrees and is a former councillor at Truro City Council in Cornwall.

His sister has made the ‘annual “Will anyone go out with my brother” post’ for the past three years,  The Sun reported.  

Helen Stubbs, pictured with Tom, said her brother enjoys doing new things, and described him as ‘obsessed’ with Cornwall, pasties, and the local Cornish Perranporth beach. She said her brother is loyal, clean and smells nice, and ‘is as spontaneous as he is predictable’

Helen said her brother likes his friends, gaming and drinks ‘an obscene amount of tea’. 

The post has attracted hundreds of comments by Facebook users and more than 200 reactions.

Mimi May wrote that she once knew Tom when she was studying in Swansea. 

She wrote: ‘I’m sat here thinking this guy looks familiar… If it helps anyone out… he’s a really genuinely lovely guy’.
