Najhim Luke, suspect in Brandon Hendricks killing, brought to Bronx court

A suspect in the slaying of Bronx high-school hoops star Brandon Hendricks was hauled off in handcuffs from the 46th Precinct station house Monday afternoon, video shows.

Najhim Luke, 22, who had been nabbed by cops hours earlier, wore a light baseball cap, long-sleeve black shirt and black pants as he was placed into a black unmarked police car, his hands cuffed behind his back, on his way to Bronx court for arraignment on murder charges.

Hendricks, 17, graduated last month from James Monroe HS — where he was a basketball star and potential future St. John’s University walk-on. A week later, on June 28, he was found fatally shot in the neck in Morris Heights at a barbecue. His killing shook the city amid a soaring spate of gun violence.

Hendricks’ family has said he was hit by a stray bullet during an argument. Authorities have not revealed a motive for the killing.
