Loose Women panelist Judi Love and Graziano Di Prima took on the Waltz on Saturday evening in an emotionally charged routine. Before taking to the dance floor, Judi told BBC viewers how the performance was dedicated to her mother and father who’d sadly passed away before she took part in the contest. And just moments after the Strictly routine, the emotions quickly took over as Judi struggled to fight back the tears when discussing the performance with Claudia Winkleman.

As soon as Judi and Graziano finished, host Tess Daly told her her parents would be “so proud” of the performance.

And holding her hand to her chest, Shirley Ballas echoed the sentiment, telling Judi: “I felt your emotion and I felt your pain.

“And I felt that you gave all that you had there for your parents. That was just absolutely beautifully executed.”

Shirley finished her critique by branding Judi a “unique and lovely person, inside and out” as the Loose Women star tried to keep her composure.

Anton agreed, admitting the dance was “beautiful” before saying: “I love this side of you.

“This sensitive, this romantic, this quiet – I think that’s gorgeous. Such a change from what we’ve had the past couple of weeks.”

Craig Revel Horwood, however, was rather critical of the routine, scoring it four out of 10, but said when delivering his verdict: “I’m not going to go through the list of things that are wrong with it.”

Motsi Mabuse also mentioned she felt Judi could “push it a little bit more” to improve her scores and make her way up the table.

Taking on board the judges’ comments, Judi soon joined Claudia to go over the routine.

Judi said: “It was very emotional. Just – even the VT before, I just wanted to share my experience of having heroes because we all have them.

“And yeah, I miss my parents dearly but -“ Judi added before getting choked up.

Claudia then jumped in: “They would’ve been so proud of that performance tonight.”

And Judi wasn’t alone as a number of Strictly viewers at home were similarly left in tears by the touching performance.

Ryan Glendenning said on Twitter: “Judi I’m crying with you tonight my heart is bursting. What a lovely woman you are. A credit to you parents and a real beacon of light. Well done you #Strictly @1Judilove.”

“Ok, now I’m crying again #Strictly,” Denise added while Cath Feely added: “Crying at #Strictly now…”

While Mary added: “@1Judilove @GrazianoDiPrima I’m crying, just beautiful, you two make me happy #Strictly.”

Despite the emotional performance, Judi’s score still left her teetering towards the foot of the Strictly leaderboard.

With a score of 24, only Greg Wise and Karen Hauer finished beneath them on Saturday evening with a score of 19.

Sara Davies and Aljaz Skorjanec topped the leaderboard after wowing the judges and racking up a score of 36.
