MANCHESTER UNITED winger Jadon Sancho is set to miss the club's warm-weather training camp in Spain.
The Red Devils announced they would be playing in a pair of mid-season friendlies as they gear up for the return of the Premier League.
But Sancho has opted to continue with his individual programme in hope that he will return to the highest level.
Meanwhile, United have been told they need to cough up £60-70million if they want to prize rising star Moises Caicedo from Brighton SunSport can exclusively reveal.
And Virgil Van Dijk took a dig at Manchester United when discussing his Holland teammate Cody Gakpo's potentially heading to Old Trafford.

Manchester United have confirmed their travelling party for their trip to Spain.
The Red Devils are without the bulk of their first-team squad due to the World Cup, but the likes of David de Gea and Antony Martialare on the tour.
Goalkeepers: De Gea, Heaton, Bishop, Dubravka.
Defenders: Lindelof, Wan-Bissaka, Williams, Mengi, Bernard, Jurado, Hardley, Bennett, Oyedele, Murray, Fredricson.
Midfielders: Van de Beek, McTominay, Savage, Iqbal, Hansen, Gore, Mainoo.
Forwards: Martial, Elanga, Shoretire, Garnacho, Hugill, McNeill, Emeran.
Jadon Sancho hasn't been named, but the club said: "Jadon Sancho is continuing his individual training programme as part of a process to get back to his highest level. The club is fully supporting him in this."

Gakpo set to decide future post World Cup
Cody Gakpo will make a decision on his future after the World Cup.
The flying Dutchman, who's scored three goals in four games in Qatar, has been strongly linked with a Prem move in 2022 following his fine form for club and country.
He told The Athletic: "I have to be honest, I am not thinking about that now.
"I am focused on the tournament and want to keep performing well, to keep helping the team. Hopefully when we become world champions we can think about other things.
"I try to keep focused and the other players don’t really speak about that kind of thing."

Manchester United's non World Cup players are in Spain for a mid-season tour.
United will get some warm weather train in the bank before playing two friendlies against Spain opposition next week.
Firstly, they take on Cadiz FC on Wednesday before facing Real Betis three days later.

Diallo on fire
Amad Diallo continued his excellent loan spell with Sunderland by adding another goal to his tally on Saturday.
The 20-year-old opened the scoring in the 3-0 victory over Millwall and has now notched four goals in six games.
He won't score many easier than that, but they all count.

The 26-year-old centre-back has impressed for his country at the World Cup in Qatar, playing an integral part in them reaching the last 16 for just the third time in their history.
His superb form at international level comes after an excellent start to the season in Italy. Min-jae joined Napoli from Fenerbahce for £16million in the summer and made 20 appearances before the World Cup break, scoring two goals.
And his presence at the heart of their defence has seen them open up an eight-point lead at the top of the Serie A table.
They also won their Champions League group, beating Liverpool, Ajax and Rangers along the way to set up a second round clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
Atletico Madrid are set to listen to offers for want-away star Joao Felix, which poses as a huge boost for Manchester United.
With Felix’s compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo off the books, United are on the look-out for a new attacker.

Mark Skinner urged Manchester United to remain relentless with their standards after they crushed Aston Villa 5-0 in front of a record Old Trafford crowd.
Red Devils chief Skinner, whose stars face Man City next, told Sky Sports: “As a manager you have got to be happy with the result which of course I am.
"But we want to put performances on and as a group we wanted to be better in the first half and take that into the second.
“We need to keep our standards high and the players felt that too. They enjoyed it but we expect more for ourselves.”

FORMER Man Utd boss Louis Van Gaal gave Denzel Dumfries a big kiss on the cheek in his post-match press conference as he celebrated Holland reaching the last eight of the World Cup.
Man of the match Dumfries was sat next to Van Gaal while facing the media after Holland’s 3-1 win over USA in which he scored one and assisted two.
And Van Gaal said: “Denzel knows that the day before yesterday I gave him a big fat kiss, I am going to give him another…there you can see.”

Juventus' financial dealings show that Juventus rejected a proposal from Man Utd to swap Weston McKennie for Donny Van de Beek.
The Serie A club are currently being investigated for dodgy dealings – and could face relegation from the top division.

Man Utd stars have arrived at the airport ahead of their Spanish winter tour.
Any Red Devils players not at the World Cup will be joining Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff in Cadiz.
There are 13 of the first-team squad, plus loan players Hannibal and Alex Telles, taking part in the global showcase in Qatar.
But United announced a friendly match against Real Betis to kick off the break for the rest of the roster.
They will play the La Liga side on Dec 10 before taking on local top flight Cadiz CF on Wednesday, Dec 7.
And Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay was spotted in his full club tracksuit at Manchester airport on Saturday.

Piers Morgan has been speculating on Cristiano Ronaldo's next move.
The TV star interviewed his football pal last month for Talk TV and Ronaldo's explosive claims about Manchester United led to him exiting the club.
Sun columnist Morgan told the Telegraph: "[Ronaldo] thinks that if he does well at this World Cup, he’ll get what he really wants.
"Which is a club in the Champions League that extends his record and his legacy.

Brazil pair Alex Telles and Gabriel Jesus have been ruled OUT of the World Cup, according to reports.
The Arsenal star suffered a knee injury against Cameroon, while the Manchester United also hobbled off in the 1-0 defeat.
Man United defender Telles, on loan at Sevilla, was withdrawn early in the second period on Friday, while the Arsenal man came off 10 minutes later.
According to Brazilian outlet Globo, the pair will play no further part in Qatar, with South Korea to come on Monday in the last-16.

Piers Morgan has revealed he and Cristiano Ronaldo exchanged text messages minutes after the 37-year-old's Manchester United exit was confirmed.
The pair combined for one of football's most explosive interviews as Ronaldo lashed out at his club – before mutually agreeing to have his contract ripped up.

Jack Wilshere has come out batting for Marcus Rashford to get a start against Senegal tomorrow.
Gareth Southgate is spoilt for choice after multiple players put themselves in the frame with an impressive second-half showing against Wales.
Wilshere exclusives says in the Sun: "Marcus didn't play for England for 16 months from that final to the Iran game but he is right in the groove now and I would definitely start him against Senegal tomorrow.
"When we played against Australia [in 2016, on Rashford's debut], Marcus didn't actually have that good a good game but he had the knack of doing something special even if he was slightly off his game."
