Horse racing tips: Templegate NAP can hammer rivals in huge Goodwood race on day three plus a big 8-1 outsider | The Sun

TEMPLEGATE is confident of banging in a few winners on day three of Glorious Goodwood.

Read on for our man's top tips and back a horse simply by clicking their odds. Good luck!

NEW LONDON (3.00 Goodwood, nap)

He got his career firmly back on track when taking a good handicap at Newmarket last time.

He wasn’t stopping over 1m2f so this longer trip should be fine. We can put a line through his Chester effort which came on soft and he didn’t seem at home on the track.

MIGDAM (1.50 Goodwood, nb)

He got the job done very nicely at Doncaster last time on handicap debut for Sir Michael Stoute.

He didn’t get the clearest of runs but managed to get through and ran right away from his rivals once in the clear.

A 6lb rise in the weights for that looks fair and he has a lot more to come.

GET AHEAD (4.45 Goodwood, treble)

She has been keeping some smart company with two Listed thirds on her CV. She was unlucky in a hot handicap at Ascot last time and has every chance.

Templegate's race-by-race guide to day three of Goodwood

1.50

MIGDAM got the job done very nicely at Doncaster last time on handicap debut for Sir Michael Stoute.

He didn’t get the clearest of runs but managed to get through and ran right away from his rivals once in the clear.

A 6lb rise in the weights for that looks fair and he has a lot more to come.

Wanees ran well for sixth in the Britannia Stakes at Royal Ascot last time out in June.

He scored nicely at Sandown before that and can improve for this extra quarter-mile.

Asaassi took a step forward when scoring at York. He stayed well there and was value for further than the winning margin of a length.

This is tougher but he’s a contender.

Charlie Appleby throws three darts and there’s not a lot between any of the trio.

Natural World may just be the pick after his solid fourth at Newmarket last time but Warren Point has more to offer after just three starts.

Royal Rift was beaten on the nod at Ascot 20 days ago over a mile. He shapes like a stayer and looks fairly handicapped.

Asgoodassobergets outran his 40-1 odds at the Royal meeting when second and has few miles on the clock so can improve.

Whitefeathersall is up 6lb for winning at Carlisle so needs more.

2.25

ROYAL SCOTSMAN was an easy winner over course and distance in May before taking his form up a notch when a close-up third in the Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot.

He can improve again from that and his liking for the track is a major plus.

Chateau relished moving up to this distance when landing a Newbury Listed contest 13 days ago.

That came after a decent effort in the Windsor Castle Stakes. This is tougher but he’s a contender.

There was lots to like about the way Al Karrar scored on debut at Windsor last month.

He picked up really strongly and can hold his own in this stronger company.

Marshman is another debut winner who deserves a crack at this higher grade.

He showed good pace at Ayr and has an each-way shout.

Swift Asset was on the wrong side in the Super Sprint at Newbury and did well to finish sixth.

A repeat would give him a chance while Bluelight Bay can step up from his Windsor win.

3.00

NEW LONDON got his career firmly back on track when taking a good handicap at Newmarket last time.

He wasn’t stopping over 1m2f so this longer trip should be fine.

We can put a line through his Chester effort which came on soft and he didn’t seem at home on the track.

Hoo Ya Mal is a massive threat after his shock second in the Derby.

He was sold for £1.2m after that Epsom effort and makes his debut for rising star trainer George Boughey.

He’s proven at the trip and can show his Classic run was no fluke.

West Wind Blows was ninth in the Derby and improved on that decent showing when winning a Hamilton Listed race by more than seven lengths.

He will need to improve in this hotter company but has few miles on the clock.

Another Derby runner, fourth home Masekela, didn’t fire at Newmarket but comes from a yard that’s having plenty of winners.

Grand Alliance went close at Royal Ascot and has place prospects.

3.35

NASHWA showed her class when relishing the drop to this distance when winning the French Oaks at Chantilly last time.

That was an improved effort from her Epsom run where she was a decent third when not quite seeing out the trip.

She handles any ground and can justify her skinny odds for the brilliant Hollie Doyle.

Lilac Road had something left when winning a York Group 2 over this trip when last seen in May.

She was a close third in a Listed contest on her sole run here so there are no worries about handling the track.

Concert Hall is back from America where she was a solid fourth in the Belmont Oaks.

That followed her Epsom Oaks fourth and a decent effort at The Curragh.

Provided her globetrotting hasn’t taken too much out of her, she’ll run well.

Dreamloper pulled hard behind her last time but earlier took a Group 1 in France and if repeating that effort will push the favourite all the way.

Ville De Grace has run well in lesser contests but hasn’t quite looked up to winning at the top level.

4.10

FAR SHOT won on debut before being pitched into the Windsor Castle at Royal Ascot.

He found that a bit sharp but bounced back when unlucky there last time.

Moving up to 7f looks a wise move and he can take another step forward.

Seductive Power got the job done nicely at Newbury and hasn’t been clobbered for this handicap debut.

He shapes as though this extra furlong will bring plenty of improvement.

True Statesman won on the all-weather at Chelmsford and improved when scoring by three lengths at Chester.

The booking of Ryan Moore for the Team Johnston runner is a plus.

Prairie Falcon has shown promise in maidens over shorter and his opening handicap mark of 74 looks generous.

He’s another who should relish this extra furlong.

Miss Jungle Cat had a fair bit up her sleeve when scoring at York and should be competitive again despite a 6lb rise in the weights.

4.45

GET AHEAD has been keeping some smart company with two Listed thirds on her CV.

She was unlucky in a hot handicap at Ascot last time and has every chance.

Swayze showed really good heart when scoring at Haydock last time after being headed.

He can cope with a 5lb rise in the weights and is a contender again.

Sir Henry Cotton was only half a length away at the Merseyside track and is 2lb better off at the weights today.

Le Beau Garcon didn’t enjoy 6f last time and went close over this distance last month. He looks on a fair weight for the Easterbys.

Dusky Prince made it three wins in a row at Donny. He’s now 15lb higher than the first of that sequence but keeps pulling out more.

Navello was badly hampered at Chester and William Buick is a good booking.

5.20

ZARGA caught the eye with a good debut third at Kempton last time.

She was very green early before picking up strongly in the closing stages.

She will learn from that and Sir Michel Stoute’s filly has a lot more to offer.

Luckin Brew showed plenty when beaten half a length first up at Newmarket 19 days ago.

Her inexperience showed so she can take a big step forward.

She’s Hot wasn’t disgraced in the Albany Stakes at Royal Ascot and should find this company a good deal easier.

Sparkling Beauty was up with the pace before boxing on into second at Newbury latest.

That was over this trip and she can improve for Richard Hughes.

Mother India stayed on well over this trip on debut at Donny and should have learned from the experience.

Enola Grey has shown promise over 6f, including here on debut. She could hit the frame if seeing out this extra furlong, as she should.
