Man transforms nail clippings into engagement ring in stomach-churning video

Engagement rings aren’t always going to be the cheapest.

Instead of splashing the cash, a man has decided to showcase his incredible skills by crafting his very own ring – made out of his fingernails.

The video was shared on Twitter by SCMP News which shows the man filming the process of his fingernails being turned into a piece of jewellery.

He started by collecting the clippings for 365 days, then cutting and placing them into a blender.

The South China Morning Post reported that the Japanese man, who creates YouTube videos under the name Kiwami Japan, grounded them into a fine powder, before mixing with water in a pan.

When it came to the forth step, the man compressed the nail powder and water mixture before putting it in the oven for 90 minutes.

The man took the mixture and put it into a diamond-shaped mould before inserting it into a silver ring – which he also made himself.

Finally, the clip showed the finished product which was a ring with a dull black stone – looking nothing like fingernails.

Since it was first shared on the SCMP News Twitter account, it secured over 207,900 views and gained hundreds of likes.

Meanwhile, people were disgusted by the footage, with many branding it as “hell”.

One person said: “I believe I’m not the only one feel it’s disgusting.”

Another joked: “I don’t want to see how he makes fudge.”
