LOL! Nick Viall Slams Love in New Halo Top Commercial

At least he’s got a good sense of humor! Nick Viall, the reality star who is famously unlucky in love after multiple failed stints on The Bachelor, Bachelor in Paradise, and two seasons of The Bachelorette, is poking fun at affection in a new commercial for Halo Top ice cream.

The 30-second spot, which debuted on Wednesday, March 6, opens with two young kids standing hand-in-hand in front of an ice cream truck.

“So you guys have a little thing, huh?” asks the guy dishing out the sweet treats. After confirming they are an item, the man in the truck calls the pair “cute” and takes the opportunity to declare that love isn’t exactly all it’s cracked up to be. “But cute doesn’t get you ice cream,” he says. “You know what does? Realizing love is an illusion and we all die alone.”

Just then, Viall, 38, walks up to the ice cream truck for a pint of the popular dessert.

After the little boy asserts that he’s in love with his friend, it looks like the Wisconsin native might step in and restore the youngsters’ faith in the powerful emotion, as he explains, “Love is always worth it in the end.”

    “Really?” the boy wonders.

“No,” the Natural Habits creator replies with a chuckle. “Not even close.”

And with that, the reality TV personality walks away eating spoonfuls of Halo Top straight from the carton as a jingle declares the food item, “Ice cream for adults, because adults need a lot of ice cream.”

Viall has developed somewhat of a habit of knocking love, and most recently teased couples on Valentine’s Day. In an Instagram video of himself painting while shirtless, the “Viall Files” podcast host jokingly declared, “Happy Valentine’s Day. For all of you lovers out there, congratulations, you can suck it.”

He later added, “For all of the people who are alone, like myself, I thought we would do a happy little painting, because why not?” before proceeding to paint a landscape a la artist Bob Ross.
