Iceland launch RAINBOW potato waffles and each colour is a different flavour

Iceland are about to launch rainbow coloured waffles into its frozen food range.

The news comes after the supermarket announced they were selling Hash Brown Fries, which quickly went viral in the UK.

The new potato snack is a Bird’s Eye creation and each colour is a different flavour.

Called the New Rainbow Mini Waffles the potato snacks are made with real mash and vegetables.

Shoppers will find four colours in the bag; orange, purple, green and yellow, which is bound to be a hit with fussy kids.

The flavours are sweet potato, beetroot, garden pea and potato.

Pete Johnson, Marketing Manager at Birds Eye, said: “Birds Eye Potato Waffles have been an iconic part of British teatimes since 1981 and kids and adults continue to love the taste.

“Birds Eye Rainbow Mini Waffles are a simple but magical mix of fluffy potato mash and vegetable goodness that will introduce more colour and dietary variety to the nation’s plates.

We are confident that everyone will love the taste.

“We’ve heard a rumour that unicorns love them already…  in fact, 9 out of 10 unicorns prefer them.”

It comes after Iceland delighted Slimming World goers by adding four new its to it’s best selling SW range.

Following the successful launch of Chunky Chips and Syn-free Sausages in January, some brand new dishes have arrived.

Two new soups, as well as a Mexican stew and diet-friendly gravy are now being rolled out.

The new Rainbow Mini Waffles land in Iceland on April 8, 2019.
