Millionaire Trinny Woodall slammed for admitting she might wear a new Zara skirt – but keep the label in and take it BACK – The Sun

MILLIONAIRE fashion guru Trinny Woodall has been slammed by a retail expert for admitting she might wear a new skirt – but keep the label in and then take it back.

The TV star, whose estimated net worth is £4m, posted a video to her half a million Instagram followers saying she’d spent too much on her credit cards this summer.

The 55-year-old visited a branch of High Street chain Zara and said she wasn’t going to buy much from them this autumn.

But showing off the new white skirt she’d just bought online she said she was tempted just to keep it clean while wearing it before then returning it.

Trinny – who shot to fame with Susannah Constantine fronting BBC’s ‘What Not to Wear’ in 2001 – then asked her fans if they’d ever done it.

The telly celeb – who also runs her own make-up company Trinny London – has been criticised for the “poor practice” by branding and consumer expert Marcel Knobil.

He said retailers and other customers could lose out.

In the clip, Trinny says: “It’s the end of August and there is a part of me that is thinking ‘How much do I want to be spending this autumn?’

“I’ve just got my credit card bills and I’m thinking ‘I’ve really spent this summer.’

“So I might not be buying so much from Zara this season. It doesn’t mean I’m going to stop showing you what’s in.

“I’m going to be doing a lot of stuff this season on my wardrobe.”

Trinny then adds: “I am wearing a skirt from this season’s Zara.

“Because I bought it already, but I got it online, I’ve still got the label in.

“And I was thinking ‘Do I want to keep it’ so, I might keep it very clean and wear it this morning and think ‘Do I really want to keep it?’

“How many of you have ever done that?”

LUNCH-BOXING

Experts say there’s something wrong with this lunchbox – can you spot what?

Mr Knobil said: “If it’s something she is doing, it’s a practise which is both damaging retailers and can compromise the clothing that could be passed onto to someone else.

“It just appears cheeky but it’s poor practise and not what you would expect from a respected fashion expert.”
