Boohoo slammed by shoppers for selling size 8 clothes labelled as ‘Large’

A number of customers took to Twitter to express their concern, with one wondering if her jumper had been "in a hot wash" before it arrived.

One posted a tweet of their gingham mini skirt, tagging e-retailer Boohoo and asking: "Since when did large mean size 8-10??"

While another took a screen grab of Boohoo's product information – which revealed "large" was equivalent to a size 8.

"I beg your pardon @boohoo since when was a size 8 a large… sort it out," they wrote.

One shopper was utterly confused and jokingly asked whether the jumper she'd received had been "in a hot wash" before arriving.

"Why are @boohoo out here tryna tell me a size 8 is a med/large?" They wrote.

"Or did somebody decide to put my save the children charity jumper in a hot wash before sending it to me?"

It's not the first time Boohoo has been criticised for its sizing.

Earlier this month, one woman slammed the brand for a size 10 dress that barely covered her bum, claiming she’d "get arrested for indecent exposure" if she wore it in public.
