Netflix delays release of Felicity Huffman movie after plea deal news

Netflix has delayed the release of a new film starring Felicity Huffman, following news the actress will plead guilty for participating in the college admissions scam.

The streaming service said Monday that rom-com “Otherhood” will no longer premiere on the planned date of April 26, and a new release date is still to be determined.

The announcement came after federal prosecutors revealed that Huffman has agreed to take a plea deal for paying $15,000 to doctor her eldest daughter’s SATs so she’d get a better score.

The “Desperate Housewives” actress was among dozens of rich parents busted across the country last month for paying bribes to help their kids get into top colleges.

Another Huffman-starring Netflix project, Central Park Five miniseries “When They See Us,” is still slated to come out on May 31, according to Deadline.
