Meghan Markle Wraps Up in a Chic Camel Coat for Her Return to the Public Eye

The first Sussex spotting of 2020 has happened.

Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan arrived hand in hand to Canada House this morning after a two-month-long break from royal duties over the holiday season. Meghan was absolutely glowing while wearing a chic, monochromatic outfit, complete with a cocoa-colored turtleneck sweater, a matching sleek brown midi slip skirt paired with a Stella McCartney camel wool coat, and pointed-toe Jimmy Choo satin pumps. Harry donned his signature navy-blue suit, with a crisp white button-down, light blue tie, and black oxfords.

According to an official press release from Buckingham Palace, the couple are paying a visit to the High Commissioner of Canada to the United Kingdom, Janice Charette, thanking her and her staff for their hospitality during their family’s time in Canada over the last few weeks. Meghan and Harry had their son, Archie Mountbatten-Windsor, along with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, in tow during their Canadian stay.

After meeting with the High Commissioner, the royal couple are scheduled to visit the Canada Gallery to view an exhibit by indigenous Canadian artist Skawennati. Meghan and Harry are also expected to meet with other members of the High Commission team who work within different realms of Canada and the United Kingdom’s partnership.

Today’s outing for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex marks the first time they’ve been photographed publicly since retreating for their royal sabbatical before the start of the holiday season.

Harry and Meghan posted a sweet New Year’s note toward the end of their vacation thanking all the global citizens they’ve met in the past year on their Instagram last week stating, “We’ve loved meeting so many of you from around the world and can’t wait to meet many more of you next year. We hope 2020 brings each of you health and continued happiness.”
