Katie Price laughs off painful-looking bruises as she totes medication

In the past the former glamour model has come close to nasty infection, after one of her breast implants exploded before heading into the Celebrity Big Brother house in 2015 – which might explain the extensive collection of medicinal boxes she carried in a clear bag.

While she’s shot down claims she awoke to a pool of pus coming from one of her face lift wounds last week, one can only assume from the vast amount of potions and lotions she wasn’t trying to hide she’s taking no chances with her post-surgery health.

‘Her immune system is very low and she’s constantly worried it’ll get infected after both her boob and her face got infected in the past after surgery,’ a source previously told The Sun.

‘She’s concerned the scars around her face aren’t healing quickly enough – she’s even joked her ears might fall off.’

However, a rep for Katie insisted she was ‘recovering well from the procedure’ adding: ‘She’s not had to call a doctor out at all. There’s no infection.’

A source  later added to Metro.co.uk: ‘Katie is happy with the results, despite the extreme discomfort of being “hit by a truck”, and has the bruises to show for it.

‘The pics are not flattering but she looks a lot better today and in person.’

Days out of surgery and keen to get back to work, Katie made her first public appearance last week and admitted she looked like an alien – but she was happy, and that’s what matters.

She wrote on Instagram: ‘I know I look unrecognisable here but 4 days after surgery so very swollen and look like a alien but can’t believe how quick I’m recovering from my surgery from head to toe.

‘Excited for the results Thankyou Comfort zone surgery Gokturk Istanbul @comfortzonesurgeryofficial (sic)’.

As they say, never underestimate the Pricey.
