Glenda Jackson admits she’s made ‘disastrous mistakes’

Glenda Jackson — the British actress-turned-politician who has just returned to the stage at the age of 83 — admits that she’s “made disastrous mistakes.”

In an interview for “NBC Nightly News,” Cynthia McFadden asked 83-year-old Jackson if she feels smarter than she did when she was 40.

“I don’t feel smarter,” said Jackson, who served as a Member of Parliament from 1992 to 2015, said, “I think I’m in a better position to avoid making disastrous mistakes, because I’d made disastrous mistakes.”

Jackson returned to acting 2016 after a 23-year hiatus, and she’s currently appearing in “King Lear” on Broadway.

McFadden’s interview is set to air Monday night.
