Woman, 25, missing after night out in Bournemouth as police launch desperate appeal

Katie Whitford, 25, was last seen about 2am on Sunday – and has not been heard from since.

Dorset Police have since launched a desperate appeal to find the young woman.

They said she had last been seen by friends about 2am on Sunday in Vodka Revolution in Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth.

She did not return to the home she had been staying at, and family and friends have not heard from her.

Chief Inspector Lance Cliff, of Dorset Police, said: "We are becoming very concerned for Katie’s welfare as this behaviour is completely out of character.

"She is normally in regularly contact with friends and family, but nobody has heard from her all day.

"I am hoping that somebody has seen Katie since she went missing in the early hours of Sunday morning and can help us find her."

Katie was reported missing at 9.47pm last night.

She has been described as white, five feet three inches tall, of slim build and with dark shoulder length hair.

She was wearing a black coat with a fur hood, black leggings and boots.

It comes after police launched a hunt in Hull for missing student Libby Squire, 21, who disappeared on Thursday night.

The 21-year-old philosophy student had was "falling over drunk" as she disappeared, two of the last people to see her say.

The 70-strong police search for Libby has entered its fourth day today after she went missing in Hull on Thursday night.

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Katie's whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 3:402.
