Slick female thieves steal clothes by shoving them up their saris while their accomplice distracts the salesman

This is the moment a conniving gang of women dupe a salesman and steal clothes from under his nose.

CCTV footage shows the thieves walking into a small shop, distracting the owner and making off with hundreds of pounds in garments before the owner notices.

The daring theft happened in a shop in the Tripolia market of Jaipur, northern India.  

Three women can seen walking into the small garments shop and begin the browse the items.

But after a few seconds it quickly becomes apparent that ladies have no intention of buying anything. 

While one of them engages the salesmen by the front door, the other two take turns in slickly picking out clothes and tucking them inside their sari dresses.

At one moment however it looks like the store manager is on to them, ripping the clothes out of one woman’s hands.

But the minute he turns his back she returns to the shelves and takes another handful, lifts up her leg and stows the items safely underneath her long gown.

The two thieves then walk out quietly while the third one finishes chatting to the salesman.


In a matter of seconds one of them manages to grab of bunch of clothes from the shelf and stuff them under her sari without the salesman noticing


The other women then does the same, as the salesman helps their accomplice with her browsing

She then decides to leave, and the salesman cleans up the few garments left on the floor, unaware of the theft. 

It was only a few minutes after the women left without buying anything that the salesman clocked onto what had happened.

Police said Nitesh Lodha, a relative of the owner of the shop, had lodged a complaint about the theft.

The women allegedly stole clothes worth £220 (20,000 Rupees).

Police are currently looking for the thieves.

Saris are a women’s garment that originates from India, and consists of a drape of material that can be as long as eight metres in length that is typically wrapped around the waist, with one end draped over the shoulder.


The women then quietly walk out without buying anything and leave the shopkeeper to clean up the unwanted items
