She has also reunited with her daughter after almost a decade and a half of absence – a moment Jessica said was so surreal she couldn’t find words to describe it.

The woman, who lives in a secluded rural area, told A Current Affair she fell pregnant with her daughter at the age of 18 soon after moving from Australia.

‘I felt scared. You are pregnant, with no husband and not married,’ she said.

Hiding her pregnancy from her family under the guise of weight gain, the mother gave birth to her child in her bedroom in near silence.

She then took her newborn to Liverpool Hospital, where chilling footage showed the mother entering the emergency department in the middle of the night cradling her daughter.

Hours later, the woman was captured on CCTV sneaking out of the hospital without her baby girl, which sparked a five month unsuccessful search to track her down.

‘This has filled the beginning of my life,’ Jessica said following the reunion. ‘It’s amazing to fill a hole I’ve had for 14 years’ (pictured speaking in April about her missing mother)

The disappearance of Jessica’s mother made headlines in 2005 after authorities made public pleas for the mother to return but she never did – until now.

Finally coming forward to tell her side of the story, the anonymous mother said she had resolved to one day face the reality of her situation.

‘I ran away for 14 years. One day you have to face it, no matter what,’ she said.

Jessica’s long-lost mum teared up as she met her daughter’s adopted parents Brad and Anna Boatwright – who have embraced Jessica’s decision to find her biological parent.

‘This has filled the beginning of my life,’ Jessica said following the reunion. ‘It’s amazing to fill a hole I’ve had for 14 years.’
