Millions watch as kung fu 'master' is knocked out by MMA fighter who is on a mission to expose China's 'martial arts frauds'

The fight – branded the 'Battle of the Century' – was watched by millions and saw self-proclaimed expert Tian Ye battered by 'Mad Dog' Xu Xiaodong.

Xu Xiaodong, 40, defeated two so-called kung fu experts in two years, including a Tai Chi practitioner in less than 10 seconds in 2017, and has been backed by a Shaolin Monks in his effort to root out fake experts in the martial arts.

The much-anticipated face-off on Saturday in Langfang, a northern Chinese city near Beijing, came after self-proclaimed expert Tian, 54 and a former welder, had provoked Xu on social media for three years, claiming he could beat the MMA fighter.

But Tian suffered a crushing defeat as Xu knocked out the expert in a painful kick in the second round and branded him a "scammer" following the fight.

While the Kung Fu master lashed Xu with punches, just 30 seconds in he was floored by Xu and had to undergo medical treatment for a broken nose in the first round.

Taking to the second round with a bandage, Tian continued rained blows on Xu but was knocked out within seconds after the MMA fighter kicked Tian in the lower body.

According to the MailOnline, Tian said he had not had the chance to use his master strokes and did not consider himself the loser.

Before the fight, Tian was introduced as an expert in "iron ox elbowing" and "lihe kicking" – a foundation kicking skill in Chinese kung fu.

Xu claimed after the fight that he had been told not to punch Tian's face, kick his head and throw him to the ground so the fight could last longer.

The MMA fighter also blasted Tian as "a scammer and deserved to be exposed".
