Man in his 30s stabbed to death in ANOTHER knifing on London's bloody streets

A MAN has been stabbed to death in North London tonight as the capital's out-of-control knife crime claims another victim.

The unnamed victim, aged in his 30s, died at the scene after being knifed in front of horrified commuters in Stoke Newington in Hackney, police said.

Emergency workers, including those from London's Air Ambulance service, were called to Matthias Road at 5.47pm today where the stabbed man was given CPR.

No arrests have been made at this stage while the Met Police is asking any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

A law enforcement spokesman said: "Police are working to inform his next of kin. At this early stage there have been no arrests.

"The homicide and major crime command will be informed."

A crime scene remained in place into the evening as the police investigation continued.

On Twitter, one witness said: "Loads of police and paramedics on Matthias Road. Looks like a guy has been stabbed.

"One guy said he saw man with two stab wounds. #stokenewington."

Another tweeted: "The latest suspected #stabbing in #London on Matthias Road, Newington Green. Desperately sad, Police, ambulances and air ambulance on the seen."

A third wrote: "Just saw a trauma helicopter landing from my window. Apparently someone has been stabbed #MatthiasRoad #N16 #StokeNewington."
