Why were the first few months of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle marriage so difficult?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry began their marriage amid, “The Markle Debacle.” The duchess’ father, Thomas Markle, and sister, Samantha Markle, were relentless with their tabloid talks and rumors about her life. Their antics were not only humiliating for Markle, but they also opened the doors for racist and sexist trolls to begin harassing the former actress.

Additionally, Markle had to deal with a slew of rumors regarding her difficulty and attitude –even though she was simply trying to adjust to a new life, new rules, and new regulations as a member of the British Royal Family. All of that and the added stress of pregnancy certainly did not make the first few months of the prince and the duchess‘ marriage easy.

Prince Charles’ marriage advice to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry

Prince Charles might be the future King of England, but he’s also a dad, and he’s been a tumultuous marriage and a successful one. Therefore, Prince Charles was the perfect person to give his son and daughter-in-law marriage advice.

In the documentary film, Prince Charles at 70 — filmmaker John Bridcut claims that the prince reflected on his experience of his troubled marriage to Princess Diana, to become a solid supporter of the Duke and Duchess Of Sussex. Bridcut revealed the prince’s marital advice to his son and his new bride. He explained,

His approach would be that you just carry on doing the job. He wouldn’t have added to that. His attitude would be that some of the attacks he would feel were unfair. He would apply himself and just carry on doing the job and soldier on and that’s what he’s done and it’s borne fruit. Charles is being completely supportive – and could be seen in the very touching way in which he was involved in the wedding ceremony itself, which was sort of all quite understated. He doesn’t advertise this but he is a very sensitive man and I’ve seen that myself a lot.
