We Saw Detective Pikachu Interrogate Mr. Mime in a Scene of Good Cop, Bad Cop

Following a pre-recorded greeting to attendees from Detective Pikachu (voiced by Ryan Reynolds), Warner Bros. showed an amusing scene from the upcoming film Pokémon: Detective Pikachu at Tuesday’s CinemaCon.

In the scene, Tim Goodman (Justice Smith) and Detective Pikachu play good cop/bad cop to interrogate Mr. Mime.

Tim and Pikachu want to know why Tim’s missing dad Harry Goodman was there and what else is going on, but Mr. Mime mimes to them that they can shove it.

Mr. Mime then creates an invisible wall to ward them off.

Tim nevertheless opens the door and starts to mime pouring gasoline on Mr. Mime and lighting matches in order to make him talk, but an unfazed Mr. Mime blows out the “matches” and mocks them.

Tim bangs his head on the “ceiling” of the invisible cell Mime’s in, after which Pikachu finally blows his top and screams, “Talk, you stupid mime!”

There were no other scenes or any new trailers beyond the aforementioned footage.
