Top Boy season 3 cast in pictures then and now: How the stars have changed
Channel 4 cancelled Top Boy in 2014 after two seasons. Luckily, Canadian rapper Drake was a huge fan of the show and partnered with Netflix to bring the show back to life. After six years of waiting, Top Boy premiered on Friday, September 13 and loyal Top Boy fans have been binge-watching the series ever since.

Dushane – Ashley Walters
Ashley Walters also known as Asher D, reprised his role as Dushane Hill in the new season of Top Boy.
In the new series, Dushane has returned from exile from Jamaica and is ready to regain his status as Top Boy in East London.
During the Top Boy six-year hiatus, Walters starred in the film Billionaire Ransom as Danny Dorsey and as Steven Warley in the BBC series Truckers.
He has also starred in Cuffs, The Aliens and Safe House.
Walters is currently starring in Bulletproof as NCA Detective Ronnie Pike.
IS JERMAINE IN TOP BOY STILL ALIVE?
Sully – Kane Robinson
Kane Robinson, also known as Kano, returned as Sully in Top Boy season three.
In the new series, Sully has just been released from prison and is trying to turn his life around.
However, following a tragic loss in his life, he soon falls back into the drug world of Dushane.
Since Top Boy premiered, Robinson released his fifth album Made in the Manor in 2016, his most successful album to date.
Made in the Manor was shortlisted for the 2016 Mercury Prize and won Best Album at the 2016 MOBO Awards.
WHO PLAYS JASON IN TOP BOY?
Dris – Shone Romulus
Shone Romulus returned to play Top Boy favourite Dris for season three.
In the past six years, Dris has suffered a stroke and his physical and mental health is deteriorating.
As a result, Dushane accuses him of “slacking” and cuts his responsibilities.
Desperate to provide a good life of this daughter Erin, Dris’ loyalties are tested.
Romulus landed the role of Dris on Top Boy when the show creators listed his estate to ask people about life in Hackney.
IS DRIS REALLY DEAD?
Jason – Ricky Smarts
Ricky Smarts first appeared as Jason in season two of Top Boy: Summerhouse in 2013.
He was loved by fans as the cheeky and thieving sidekick to Sully.
Smarts was left to fend for himself due to having an abusive step-father and drug-addicted mother.
Sully took a shining to Jason after he stole his phone and the two are inseparable in the thirds season.
In season three, Jason was the only one to meet Sully when he was released from prison.
Sadly, Jason meets a terrible fate in Top Boy season three.
Despite first playing Jason back in 2013, Top Boy remains Smarts’ only acting job.
Ashley Thomas as Jermaine
Ashley Thomas, also known as Bashy, returned as Jermaine in Top Boy season three.
Jermaine is working with Modie and Jamie, to knock Dushane and Sully off of the drug ladder.
He is also seeking revenge on Sully after Sully kidnapped him in Top Boy: Summerhouse season two.
Thomas is also known of this music career, working closely with Tinie Tempah, Wretch 32, Chipmunk and Big Narstie.
