The One Show: ‘You’ve had enough’ Matt Baker takes unexpected Brexit SWIPE

The One Show hosts Matt Baker, 41, and Alex Jones, 42, hosted an eclectic show this evening as they ventured into a number of topics.

But as the episode continued, it became glaringly obvious it was not going to touch upon the latest Brexit goings-on.

However, Matt did eventually make its presence known in a segue into another segment of the show.

Speaking to the camera he announced: “Right, we’re going to move on now.

“We’re not going to cover the twists and turns of Brexit on this show.

“Because you’ve probably just seen an hour on the news – you would have had enough of it by now.”

The crowd and crew laughed at this unexpected addition as Alex continued to move the show on further.

The One Show then showed a video regarding buying alcohol abroad, leaving the Brexit debate very much on home soil.

This isn’t the first instance of Matt lashing out this week on the show.

Last night’s edition of the dinner-time programme saw Matt hitting back at the viewers.

After a video, The One Show’s Matt Baker decided to give his opinion on the topic at hand: Litter.

He said: “I think it’s mad, that we have to pick up other people’s rubbish.

“Just pick it up in the first place so other folk won’t have to pick it up for you!”

Alex jumped in to add: “I knew he was going to say this, but he’s got a point.”

Matt then finished off the topic by groaning at the camera once more before speaking to The Carpenter’s Karen.

Alex herself was a little shocked last week as well, as she was asked something a little embarrassing by Rylan Clark-Neal, 30.

Ryan said: “What did you ask me when we watched that clip?”

To which Alex covered her mouth in shock and replied: “I can’t… we are on television.”

Unfortunately for Alex, Rylan went on to reveal she had asked if the monkey in Dumbo was real.

The One Show continues tonight on BBC One at 7pm.
