The promo for this week’s episode starts with Octavia telling the others: “If we can spare innocent lives, we should.”

One of the most disturbing shots shows Madi Griffin (Lola Flanery) fighting back as someone tries to inject her with something.

Madi’s life could be on the line as she’s increasingly influenced by Sheidheda (Dakota Daulby), who calls on her to do his bidding.

This is confirmed in another video which The CW recently released of Madi and Sheidheda playing chess together.

In the clip, Madi pays little attention to him as he makes a checkmate move. In retaliation, he warns her that she’s not learning the lesson in strategy he’s trying to teach her.

His words seem to calm her as Madi responds: “Tell me what I have to do.”

The episode comes after last week when Clarke was left fighting for her life and mind as she battled Josephine Lightbourne (Sara Thompson).
