Peter falls victim to con as search for Carla goes drastically wrong in Corrie

Peter Barlow’s (Chris Gascoyne) desperation to find Carla Connor (Alison King) has hit a critical point where he could end up doing something stupid in Coronation Street. Could he endanger himself in a bid to find her?

Peter is still worried for Carla, he’s been searching high and low for her with no luck whatsoever, so he accepts Simon’s (Alex Bain) suggestion to use her photo on social media with the hashtag #FindCarla.

Peter’s not big on social media and isn’t convinced, but when he receives a notification from someone who claims to have seen her he suddenly has faith he might actually find her.

He reads the message and it’s from a guy from Carla’s old estate claiming to have seen her, and for cash he’ll help.

But is Peter walking straight into a con? Or worse, could the guy have Carla hidden somewhere and is after a ransom?

Ken (Bill Roache) tells Peter they have to go to the police, but Peter wants to go to the place alone. He heads to the squat where the man lives and hands over the cash, but it doesn’t go the way he planned at all.

Things are set to descend into violence for Peter when he later returns to the squat and threatens the squatters in the hope they’ll tell him what he wants to know. Johnny (Richard Hawley) is forced to drag him off and he has no choice but to leave, but leaves his phone number behind just in case.

Who are these men and have the men got Carla hostage?
