Love Island’s Charlie Frederick speaks out over ‘pal’ Danny kissing ex Arabella

Charlie Frederick has spoken out over ex Arabella Chi’s kiss with Love Island 2019 co-star Danny Williams, amid claims they are pals.

The hunk who appeared on the show last year was believed to be good friends with Danny, after he threw support behind him when he debuted on the show recently.

But there was a twist when Charlie’s ex Arabella also entered the villa, and she and Danny have since paired up.

Danny has been blasted by viewers over “lack of bro code”, while Arabella was also slammed by fans amid claims she was still dating Charlie when she went on the ITV2 dating series.

After their kiss on Tuesday night’s show, Charlie offered his view on the romance as he was forced to address what was really going on.

Having been bombarded with comments from viewers hitting out at the new couple, Charlie explained the truth about his friendship with fellow model Danny, days after revealing all about his romance with Arabella.

Taking to Twitter , he explained that despite having worked with Danny and supporting him on social media, the pair aren’t actually close friends.

In fact, it appears they’ve only met once despite appearing friendly with one another on Instagram .

He explained: “Let’s just clarify Danny is not my best mate. I’ve shot with him once. For like an hour, he owes me nothing. It’s Love Island you gotta do.”

Charlie jumped to Danny’s offence over the situation, amid the villa turning on him for choosing her over Yewande Biala.

But Charlie also recently cleared up romance claims about Arabella, hitting out at her while admitting they were never officially a couple.

He said: “Let me just set the record straight. Arabella and I were never boyfriend and girlfriend. We were seeing each other. We were getting together, we were working out what we both wanted. But I don't know what’s worse really. Telling someone you want them in your life and then disappearing into the villa. Mind blowing.

"Before all you lot start jumping the gun saying I had this can’t be a**d attitude from those messages do you know how many times she said she didn’t want anything and then asked me to come back into her life? We were restarting, getting back on track when she went into the villa.”

Love Island airs all week at 9pm on ITV2.
