Love Island: Who was the first person dumped from Love Island 2019?

Love Island fans had to say goodbye to one of the islanders tonight (June 7) as one unlucky contestant was dumped from the island. All seven boys were at risk as the six girls, including new arrival Molly-Mae Hague, decided which Love Island boy they wanted to couple up with. Here’s who was dumped from Love Island 2019 first and what their reaction was.

Who was the first person dumped from Love Island 2019?

The first contestant dumped from the Love Island 2019 villa was Callum Macleod.

Callum was left without a couple after the six girls decided who they wanted to couple up with.

Love Island 2019 only began on Monday, June 3, meaning Callum was in the famous ITV2 villa for less than a week.

Despite his time on Love Island being short-lived, Callum has revealed it’s been “really, really enjoyable.”

Callum told ITV in his exit interview: “It was just really, really enjoyable. It’s unfortunate that I didn’t meet anyone that I connected with but I had such good fun in there.”

HOW ARE TOMMY FURY AND TYSON FURY REALLY RELATED?

The unfortunate Love Island 2019 cast member continued: “Even though I didn’t meet anyone that I could potentially be with on the outside, I loved it, which is a great bonus.

“I would have taken any opportunity like this. It was a fabulous thing to do and a really positive thing in my life. “

Callum still says he wouldn’t change how he approached Love Island, despite being the first islander dumped.

The 28-year-old said: “I don’t think I would do anything differently in person.

“I genuinely think I was true to myself. I didn’t fake anything. It’s just unfortunate that there was no one in there that I connected with.

“There were definitely people in there that I was closer to and maybe if the opportunity had come to speak to those people more it might have been a little bit different.

“But ultimately I’m 28, I’ve had a couple of serious relationships, I know what I’m looking for and it just didn’t come through the door on this occasion.”

WHO IS LOVE ISLAND’S MOLLY-MAE HAGUE’S FAMOUS EX-BOYFRIEND?

Curtis Pritchard, in particular, was evidently gutted to see Callum leave and the dumped contestant spoke about their friendship on his villa exit.

Callum said: “Some of the highlights – meeting the people. I had a great friendship with Curtis.”

“Literally from the minute he walked in, we just had a great time. It felt like I had known him for ages, he’s a good guy.”

The former islander also thinks Callum and Amy Hart could go all the way and win the contest.

“They’re so well suited,” Callum said, “it’s like they’ve been together for ages already.

“You could definitely see them working on the outside. I hope they do. They’re both really good people.”

HOW TO STILL APPLY FOR LOVE ISLAND 2019

Although Callum will now fly back to the UK in order to appear alongside Caroline flack on Aftersun on Sunday, he hasn’t ruled out a return to the villa.

When asked if he would go back in, Callum said: “Yes definitely, I would.

“I loved every single minute of it. I hold my hands up and say I was gutted to leave, but if they asked me to go back in I would, straightaway.”

Whether Callum will return to the ITV2 series in the future is yet to be seen.

Love Island 2019 continues on weeknights and Sundays at 9pm on ITV2.
