Love Island 2019: Are contestants allowed in the swimming pool?

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2. Tonight’s episode will pick up from all of the drama from last and viewers will get to find out whether Maura Higgins did spend the night with Tom Walker in the Hideaway following that outrageous comment. Also tonight, Danny Williams will have to pick between Arabella Chi and Yewande Biala as the boys have to choose which girls they would like to recouple with. Meanwhile, viewers have also been questioning why Islanders have not been seen in the swimming pool. Read on for the full details about life in the villa.

Are Islanders allowed in the swimming pool?

For the past three weeks, viewers have been questioning why no Islanders have been spotted in the villa swimming pool and people were beginning to wonder whether they were allowed in the pool in the first place.

On Friday (June, 21), it was finally confirmed that the Love Island contestants are actually allowed in the swimming pool.

During Friday’s episode, Amber and Michael were spotted in the pool, putting an end to all the speculation.

A spokesperson for Love Island also spoke to Express.co.uk and explained that scenes of the Islanders swimming or chilling in the pool are not shown simply because of time constraints.

The spokesperson said: “No reason other than it’s not possible to show everything that happens in the villa.”

WHERE IS LOVE ISLAND AFTERSUN FILMED?

There are some other odd things about the show viewers have been questioning, for example, why are the Islanders rarely shown eating.

The only moment fans have seen the Islanders prepare food is when Tommy Fury made Maura a ketchup, ham and mayonnaise sandwich for their date.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Eyal Booker, who appeared on the show last year said: “For breakfast, we had a fridge full of food, we all said the things we liked to eat before going into the villa and lunch and dinner were catered for.

“Those meals were left for us in the larder, we would be told it was there and then we’d enjoy a big buffet style meal.”

WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN MAURA AND TOM?

Who will leave the villa tonight?

Tonight will see the second dumping of the series so far.

The Islanders will take part in a recoupling, with the boys choosing the girl they would like to couple up with.

Unfortunately, this means one girl will be dumped from the Island for good.

At the moment, it looks like it is between Yewande and Arabella to go tonight.

Both girls are caught in a love triangle with fellow Islander Danny.

Yewande and Danny were coupled up but it looks his head may have been turned with the arrival of new girl Arabella.

The trio has exchanged heated conversations about their situation and the girls are not backing down over Danny.

HOW OLD IS YEWANDE FROM LOVE ISLAND?

At Ladbrokes, Yewande is the favourite to leave tonight at odds of 4/5 and Arabella at odds of 6/4.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “She’s struggled to find love up to now and all the signs are pointing towards an exit from the island for Yewande, with Arabella currently being the outsider of the two to leave.”

Who will win Love Island 2019?

Michael and Amber are the still the favourites to win Love Island 2019.

They are currently at odds of 6/4 to win at Ladbrokes and Coral.

Tommy and Molly-Mae are the second favourite couple to be crowned the winners, at odds of 10/3 at Ladbrokes and Betway.

Curtis and Amy are still hanging in there as the third favourite couple to win, at odds of 4/1 at Skybet, Betfair and Paddypower.

Betfair Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: “We think it will be Arabella who he will recouple with and Yewande is odds-on at 4/6 to go tonight, with Arabella 11/4*.

“Danny and Arabella are also fourth favourites for winning a couple at 11/1, however, it’s Michael Griffiths and Amber Gill who are going from strength to strength with viewers and with punters that are the favourites at 11/8 ahead of Tommy and Molly-Mae who are at 11/4 with Curtis and Amy at 4/1.”

Ladbrokes’ Love Island 2019 winning couple odds are:

  • Michael and Amber – 6/4
  • Tommy and Molly-Mae – 10/3
  • Curtis and Amy – 5/1
  • Danny and Arabella – 16/1
