ITV This Morning: Strictly Come Dancing star to replace Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford

This Morning will feature a bit of a change this week as regular hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby are taking a well-earned break.

The show this week has been presented by Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford, however, there’ll be yet another change in the hosting duties this Friday.

It’s now been revealed that this Friday (May 31) will see Strictly Come Dancing’s Anton Du Beke presenting the morning programme.

He’ll be presenting alongside The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes, who has hosted the show a few times before.

Rochelle presented the show alongside Phillip Schofield whilst Holly Willoughby stepped in for Ant McPartlin on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

“I can’t wait,” Anton told The Mirror.

“I’ve big boots to fill, but hopefully viewers will welcome me with open arms.

“No doubt there’ll be a sprinkling of dancing with Rochelle at some point.”

This isn’t the first time that Anton has featured on This Morning.

Earlier this month, Anton was seen during a brand new segment, which they called Anton Du Bake.

In the segment, Anton teaches people how to bake, and he recently taught a lady how to make perfect scones.

Anton’s also currently in the race to become the next judge on Strictly Come Dancing.

This comes after the departure of former Strictly judge, Darcey Bussell.

Anton has even opened up on why he’d be the perfect fit for the job, stating: “Do you know what? I’m certainly qualified.”

“I suspect there’ll be conversations going on, but it’s one of those things… I’m definitely qualified to do it, I’d love to do it, but we’ll have to wait to be asked in the normal way.

“I wish I could make the decision for them, but if I could do that I’d have made the final 12 times.”

Meanwhile, Ruth and Eamonn were joined by a Shaman on the programme last Monday, and he took Eamonn on a spiritual reawakening which caused him to cry.

“Why are there tears coming from my eyes?” He questioned the professional.

“Because you’re holding back emotions inside, so your tear ducts need to release and have you noticed your sinuses are also releasing?” Durek Verrett responded.

This Morning airs weekdays at 10.30am on ITV.
