ITV Good Morning Britain: ‘S*at shamed’ Piers Morgan makes EPIC blunder in obesity rant

ITV presenter Piers Morgan was on ferocious form this morning as fellow Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid declared he was in “such a weird” mood, but not more so than when he began a huge tirade against how the media portrays obesity in the UK.

Arguing against her co-host’s opinions, Susanna, 48, ordered Piers, 53, to stop “fat shaming” people live on air.

But as the debate continued, Piers suddenly made a ginormous gaffe which shut it down completely, as all three presenters – including Charlotte Hawkins – descended into giggles.

The moment began when Piers asked production to show a selfie he’d taken with Bodyguard star Keeley Hawes at the BAFTA Awards last night.

“You see, Paula [a Tweeter who claimed Piers needed to lose weight before talking about obesity], you want to look at yourself before body shaming others,” Piers said. “I actually look like a handsome debonair movie star so thank you.

“Secondly, Susanna Reid does fat shame me all the time on air, and quite rightly I need to lose a bit of timber right?

“And you just asked to be fat shamed,” Susanna piped in.

“And I’m very happy to be fat shamed,” Piers continued. “But she does that to me, and won’t let me say 300LB models are ridiculous.”

“No because I don’t think people should fat shame each other!” Susanna fired back.

“But you s**t shame me every day!” her fellow presenter cried.

You are definitely going to get a P45 at some stage and it won’t be soon enough

Bringing the debate to an instant stop, Susanna was reeling from Piers’ hilarious slip-up.

“I do what?” she asked with a grin, and Piers immediately turned red.

“Not s**t shame, if you s**t shame you’re into Gary Lineker territory,” he joked.

Charlotte was so taken-aback by Piers’ comment she put her faced in her hands in defeat.

“You are definitely going to get a P45 at some stag,” Susanna finished. “And it won’t be soon enough!”

Viewers also spotted the funny mistake, and took to Twitter to comment.

One person noted: “Ooo Mr Morgan said something rude #gmb.”

“#GMB @piersmorgan Don’t worry about that slip of the tongue there sir, s**t happens! #s**tshaming,” another teased.

A third posted next to a series of laughter emojis: “S**t shamed #gmb.”

While a fourth praised: “S**t famed…@piersmorgan brilliant! #gmb.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
