Sophie Ellis-Bextor has recently revealed that she was hired as an extra for Game of Thrones. Game of Thrones has featured everyone from Ed Sheeran to Aaron Rodgers as cameos, but fans of the HBO and Sky series have been left wondering whether the Murder on the Dancefloor singer appeared in the show. Although both Sophie Ellis-Bextor and her husband Richard Jones filmed scenes as extras on Game of Thrones, fans have been unable to spot them yet.

They were part of the army that fought the Battle of Winterfell in Game of Thrones season eight, episode three, The Long Night.

The singer said: “We fought the White Walkers!! When Game of Thrones was filming the final season, Richard and I went to be extras. It was SO FUN.

“You couldn’t see us on the telly in the battle of episode 3, but I can assure you we gave it our all.

The singer wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of her in armour: “We fought the white walkers!!

“When @gameofthrones was filming the final season, @richardjonesface and I went to be extras.

“It was SO FUN. You couldn’t see us on the telly in the battle of episode 3, but I can assure you we gave it our all.

“R was very jealous of my armour but then again, he had dragon glass.

“Here’s to the northern army! Sad to see GOT finish but it’s been fun seeing the epic tale unfold.”

Her husband, best known for being a part of band The Feeling, also shared his experience on Instagram.

“Sophie and I were enlisted to fight against the White Walkers in the Northern Army at the Battle of Winterfell..

“It was dark, hard to spot us, but we were there and did our part in defeating the army of the dead… it was so exciting and SO MUCH FUN!!!

Before fame as a singer, she also appeared in three episodes of police drama Frontiers in 1996.
