SBS' network dedicated to confronting and provocative programming heralds this feminist calendar event with a mini festival starting appropriately with Why Do Men Earn More Than Women?, a documentary fronted by Baroness Karren Brady from The UK Apprentice. At 10.15pm is transgender model and social activist Munroe Bergdorf's What Makes a Woman?, followed by Half the Picture, a series of interviews with directors including Lena Dunham and Miranda July.

Ironically, it takes an adventurous Scotsman, archaeologist Neil Oliver, to remind us of the beauty of our neighbouring island nation. He also points out the ecological damage that can be done in a relatively short space of time, and the decades it can take to try to right the wrongs. In what appears to be virgin wilderness, Oliver discovers near extinction. He also touches on the history of a hippie community that left its stamp on a stretch of Milford Sound.

Roll out the red carpet, the Queen of Funk, Chaka Khan, graces Gra-Gra's studio with her royal presence, treating the celebrity gathering to a rendition of Like Sugar, a single from her first album in 11 years. On the couch are The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part voice artists, Chris Pratt and Elizabeth Banks; Jennifer Connelly from sci-fi flick, Alita: Battle Angel. The week's West End rep is Paul Whitehouse from Only Fools and Horses, the Musical.
