Emmerdale spoilers: Maya Stepney ARRESTED as David Metcalfe makes big decision

Emmerdale’s newest villain, Maya Stepney (played by Louisa Clein), has been terrorising poor Jacob Gallagher (Joe Warren Plant) for months.

She has groomed him to the point he believes he is in love with the teacher.

In the coming weeks, it seems she will finally get her comeuppance as she is arrested for her crimes.

It all starts with David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden), who is coming round to the idea Maya could be responsible for her actions.

He convinces Ryan Stocks (James Moore) to install spy software on Jacob’s laptop so he can keep an eye out on his chats with Maya.

Jacob, who is in the middle of his GCSEs, heads to mum Leyla Harding’s (Roxy Shahidi) to revise.

However, he ends up rooting through her drawers and eventually finds what he’s looking for: Maya’s passport and money.

Delighted with his find, Jacob messages Maya telling her the good news.

He doesn’t realise he’s being monitored and it seems that one innocent message is all he needs.

The following day, Jacob and Maya plan to meet at the Cricket Pavilion and the latter waits their for her teenage lovert to arrive.

However, she gets the shock of her life when she spots David walking towards her.

Desperate Maya offers to leave Jacob and the village for good if her ex promises to let her escape.

But it seems David has already made up his mind and had previously phoned the police.

Maya is completely devastated to see flashing blue lights around her while Jacob tries to stop it all.

She can’t stop the inevitable, thankfully, and fans will finally get to see Maya carted off in a police car.

With Maya arrested, will Jacob and David manage to patch up their rocky relationship?

Will Maya even be sent to prison for her crimes or will Jacob manage to hide any evidence?

Elsewhere on Emmerdale, it seem Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) and Lisa Dingle’s (Jane Cox) planned wedding will go wrong.

They will be about to get married but sadly one of their pigs goes missing causing chaos all round.

Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV at 7pm.
